Summer Program
"This ain’t your mother’s dance class! I already knew my kids were cooler than me, but DDF confirmed it. This summer my girls got a taste of all DDF’s offerings, from Hip Hop to Lyrical, to Jazz and Tap and Tada--and even more self-expression through making some parts of their costumes. It was such a well-rounded experience. I was particularly impressed with the weekly recital on Fridays, where the group performed all they had been taught. It was truly amazing what DDF could pack into a week and the kids would retain. Can’t wait for early registration. Summer at DDF is about to become a tradition in this family!"

Following on from the success of our inaugural Summer Program in 2011, Downtown Dance Factory will again run a weekly program in July of 2012. Each week-long session will offer your preschool or elementary-aged child a wide range of dance and performing arts-related options, including sessions in:
- jazz/hip hop
- lyrical/modern dance
- tap
- musical theatre
- breaking
- craft & costume-making
- choreography
- improvisation
Description
Each week, our full-day students will have the opportunity to experience classes in all the above dance genres – some daily, some several times per week – no prior experience necessary! On Friday afternoon of each week, students can even look forward to sharing their routines with their grown-ups during our weekly showcase – just prior to Friday pick-up.
Our half-day students will enjoy a selection of our acclaimed preschool dance classes – KindiHop, KindiBallet, KindiTap – together with dance-related crafts, story-telling and dress-ups! Add a smattering of singing, drama and a taste of other dance styles (think breakdance, creative movement … even Bollywood!) and they’re in for a fun-filled week for sure!

Full day program: Children born 2002 – 2007 (entering K through 5th grade in September 2012)
Preschool program: For our 3 and 4 year olds (age as of July 1st 2012) who are not entering Kindergarten in September 2012. Students must be potty trained.

Time
Full day program: monday - friday, 9am - 3pm, $550/wk ($440 for week 1)*
Preschool program: monday - friday, 9am - 12pm, $325/wk ($260 for week 1)*
* in week 1, there will be no session on July 4th,
so fees are prorated accordingly.
