Downtown Dance Factory is Closed Temporarily

Based on the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in New York City, and on the advice of public officials who are strongly encouraging social-distancing, Downtown Dance Factory will temporarily close from March 13th through March 28th. We are doing so to support efforts to contain the spread of the virus, and also to ensure the health, sense of safety and well-being of our Downtown Dance Factory community. These closure dates are effective immediately, Friday, March 13th. As this is an evolving situation, we will continue to be in touch, and will update you should things change.

In lieu of the two weeks of classes that will be missed due to this necessary closure, the following is planned:

classes will run over the initially planned spring break from April 13th-17th.
the Winter/Spring semester will be extended by one week, and will therefore end on June 20th.

While this is a change to previously published dates, we are dealing with an unprecedented situation. Together as a compassionate community, we can help and support eachother, as we try to navigate this as best we can. We are so sad that the situation has come to this, but based on the many conversations, phone calls and emails we've had with so many of you over the last few days, we know that it is the responsible and necessary thing to do for families in these uncertain circumstances. Our main concern is the well-being of our DDF community.

Providing it is advisable to reopen based on information from the CDC and the NYS Health Department, we look forward to dancing with you again as of Monday March 30th. Please stay safe and thank you for your understanding and support of our small business in these difficult times. We, as New Yorkers, have overcome major crises in the recent past, and we know that we as a community can come together and get through this one too. We are all hoping for the same thing - to get back to our normal lives, and to our normal dance schedules, as soon as possible.

Registration for Summer Program Begins Friday

Recognized for 5-straight years by Time Out New York Kids Camp Edition, Downtown Dance Factory's Summer Program gives your child a taste of all dance genres throughout the week. Downtown Dance Factory Closed for MLK Jr Day

Please note that Downtown Dance Factory will be closed on Monday January 20th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr's birthday. This is a planned closure - no make-ups are required.
