Downtown Dance Factory's wonderful teachers and staff will be at both the rehearsals and the recitals themselves to take care of all the dancers. But we also rely on our parent and caregiver volunteers.

Volunteering is easy! A group of parents/caregivers/DDF staff help to supervise the dancers in the class.  You help them to the stage when it's their turn, and you watch over them while they're waiting.  Safety is our #1 priority, so we always so appreciate the extra help from our parent/caregiver community!

Volunteer Opportunities

  • If your child is in two or more shows, why not watch one and help backstage during the other?
  • Volunteer backstage during one of the shows in which your child is not participating?
  • Stick around during your child's rehearsal time and help out with supervising your child's group? *

We'd be so grateful for your help in making the days run as smoothly and safely as possible!  If you're able to help, either at rehearsals or on recital day, please email or call us at 212.962.1800 by May 10th.  We need to know in advance because a lot of planning goes into keeping the DDF dancers safe and happy.

* please note: rehearsal is not drop off for kindi-age classes; all kindi-age dancers must have a supervising grown-up at rehearsal
