DDF in the studio, the stage and the streets

We had an absolute blast this summer – and we know our DDF summer dancers did too! Whether it was your first time at DDF, or you’ve been coming for years, we’re always so excited for kids of all ages to experience a summer full of friends, fun, and some fabulous dancing!

We can’t wait to see you next summer!

We are so honored to announce that Downtown Dance Factory has been nominated for “Best Jazz Performance” for the 2026 Industry Dance Awards! We are always so pumped when this prestigious organization recognizes our dancers’ passion for what they love to do. Huge shoutout to Company Pink for putting on a stellar performance at Reverb of “Work It”, choreographed by DDF favorite Aspen Waddell. Congratulations to all!

We are so proud of all TWENTY-ONE (!) of our astounding DDF graduates! Our graduates are attending schools across the country, with many taking their dance career even further by pursuing dance degrees. We can’t wait to see the amazing things you do in college!!!

We are so excited to announce that this year we have six incredible dancers going to LaGuardia High School! They will attend the highly-esteemed school as freshman dance majors in the fall. Congrats to Estelle, Wynne, Emma, Aurelia, Willow, and Diya! We’re so proud of you!

In anticipation of our Recital 2026 theme, we needed to celebrate everything disco…and what is a better way to do this than with a disco-inspired photo shoot!

We had such a blast welcoming the families of our dancers to our demonstration classes! It was a joy to share what our extraordinary dancers have been working on. Grown-ups (and little siblings!) got to see their dancers shine as they showcased their technique, artistry, and passion.

We are so proud of our outstanding group of twelve seniors heading to colleges across the country – including some of the top dance programs nationwide! While we’re sad to see you go, we can’t wait to hear about all of the wonderful things you do!!!

After an incredible DDF season, our dancers performed at a WNBA NY Liberty game at the Barclays Center, not once, but TWICE – primetime and halftime! Take a look at some of the highlights captured during the performances. Our dancers were incredible, and the Liberty slayed!!

The excitement of the dance season continues in March with our visit to Jump NYC. Always a favorite because it’s right here in our “backyard”, DDF attended both competition and convention and had a blast! A special shoutout to our VIP Scholarship Convention winners: Amelia, Annaliese, Casey, Cici, Elle, Remy, Sophie, Sydney & Wynne!
